China's motor production began in 1917, the industry has formed a relatively complete industrial system in China. With the development of electric power, the motor manufacturing industry in China has shown vigorous vitality, and the scale of production and marketing and economic benefits have been greatly improved.
From 2005 to 2011, the annual sales revenue of motor manufacturing industry in China increased by 36.92%. In addition to the impact of the financial crisis in 2009, the manufacturing industry generally declined and the motor's comparative growth rate dropped to 11.20%. In other years, the growth rate of motor market scale in China was at a high level, above 20% year on year. Even in the case of the general slowdown in the manufacturing industry in 2011, the motor's comparative growth rate still reached 21.87%.
Electrical machinery manufacturing enterprises should establish their own brands, develop high-end, expand overseas markets, guarantee product quality and after-sales service, and develop into new fields such as aviation, navigation, military industry, nuclear power and special motors, so as to remain invincible in the severe market competition.
In the whole society, about 70% of the electricity consumption is in the industrial field, and the power consumption of industrial motors accounts for 70% of the total electricity consumption in the industrial field. There are two ways to improve the efficiency of motor, one is through a frequency converter to improve the efficiency of AC motor; the other is to use efficient motor. Different frequency converters are the main energy-saving industries. The energy-saving efficiency is generally over 30%, even up to 40% - 50% in some industries. The market application proportion of high-efficiency motors is still relatively low, but the market application proportion of high-efficiency motors will increase dramatically in the future with the support of minimum energy efficiency standards and subsidy policies.
From January to December 2012, China exported 3.096 billion motors and generators, compared with the same period in 2011.
